These terms and conditions are designed to protect your interests as a client. You must agree and sign the Terms and Conditions before you can book Rickie's services.
By making an appointment, whether it is a free consultation or paid session, you are agreeing to the following terms and conditions, policies, privacy and guidelines within this document.
Suitability for Hypnotherapy
By agreeing to the terms and conditions of this document, you acknowledge that you meet all the requirements and conditions set out in this document.
- You are 18 years of age and over.
- You are not feeling suicidal.
- You are not under the influence of alcohol or recreational drugs prior to starting your consultation.
- You are not under the supervision of a psychiatrist or suffering from any diagnosed psychiatric condition, psychological illness or epilepsy.
Liability
Agreeing to this document acknowledges that under no circumstances will Rickie Avitan Psychic Medium will be liable for any damages including without limitation: direct, indirect, incidental, special, punitive, consequential, or other damages (including without limitation lost profits, lost revenues, or similar economic loss), whether in contract, tort, or otherwise, arising out of the use or inability to use the materials available in this site or any linked site, even if advised of the possibility thereof, nor for any claim by a third party. Any material printed from this site is covered by these terms and conditions. The signee acknowledges that hypnosis is not a substitute for psychological, psychiatric, or medical treatment. Rickie Avitan Psychic Medium highly advises consultation with the appropriate health care practitioners and medical team for corrective treatment. Hypnosis and hypnotherapy are not replacement for medical treatment. You should not stop prescribed medications without consolation by your doctor. Rickie Avitan will not assume responsibility if you decide to stop medical treatment without your medical and health care provider’s advice.
Cure
A well-motivated client is very likely to achieve realistic goals. However, it is unethical to guarantee a cure. The control of thoughts, beliefs, emotions and behaviours always reside within the client. No one is “made” to do anything against their will using hypnosis.
Rickie Avitan Psychic Medium guarantees use and application of her training, expertise and experience to your issues with the aim of achieving agreed goals in as reasonable time as possible. Estimates of the number of sessions required to treat a condition given at the enquiry stage or during the first consultation, are given on the basis of the information presented at that time. Estimates are only rough guidelines and are subject to change.
Payment
When booking, each session will be booked separately and fully paid upon booking. After your first in person session, Rickie and you will decide together on the date and time of your next hypnotherapy session. Past life for entertainment is a one time session.
Cancellation
If you wish to change, postpone, or cancel an appointment a 72 hours’ notice or the cost of the full session is payable. Please contact Rickie Avitan Psychic Medium at rickie@3rdeyeconnect.ca or call 604 315-8206 to report your cancellation. This minimum period of cancellation allows Rickie Avitan Psychic Medium the opportunity to offer the cancelled session to another client. If you wish to discontinue your course of therapy, you do not have to give a reason. There can be external circumstances that make attendance difficult, but it is helpful if you can discuss these changes so that when you wish to resume therapy, these changes can be taken into account.
Punctuality
If you are running late or anticipate running late for your appointment, leave a message (calls are not answered whilst working with a client) or send a text to the mobile phone (6043158206). Rickie Avitan will pick up this message when available. Whilst Rickie Avitan Psychic Medium will aim to accommodate “lost time”, please understand that the booking schedule may not always make this possible. The session may have to finish at the original finishing time.
Confidentiality
Any information collected from you as a client or potential client, including your contact details will be held in the strictest confidence. Your privacy will be respected. The details that you disclose are used solely for the purpose of providing you, the client, with the highest levels of service. No information will be passed on to any external parties without your expressed permission. Where expressed permission is given to share information with an external party, Rickie Avitan Psychic Medium will only supply client-approved information that Rickie Avitan Psychic Medium believes is in the best interests of the client.
If it is necessary for Rickie Avitan Psychic Medium to contact you she will use your preferred method e.g. mobile phone. If she needs to contact you at home or at work to change an appointment, she will leave her name, number and state the nature of her call. If there is an emergency and Rickie Avitan Psychic Medium needs to cancel the appointment at short notice, she will state this in her message. During your treatment period, please ensure that she has your up-to-date contact details. Please discuss these terms with Rickie Avitan Psychic Medium if these arrangements are unsuitable.
Disclosure
Rickie Avitan Psychic Medium will never publish, give, sell or rent your information to anyone. However, she reserves the right to disclose user information in special cases when she has reason to believe that disclosing this information is necessary to identify, contact or bring legal action against someone who may be causing injury to, or interference with (either intentionally or unintentionally) his rights or his property, other users, or anyone else who could be harmed by such activities. Rickie Avitan Psychic Medium also reserves the right to disclose user information when she believes, in good faith, that the law requires it. Note: Exceptional circumstances of confidentiality include where there is a criminal or civil court case where a court order has demanded disclosure, and where there is good cause to believe that failing to disclose information would cause danger or harm to the client or others. Child Protection Issues falls into this category. Note: Following your last appointment, your rights of confidentiality are paramount. Client records are destroyed after one year.
Confidentiality and Continuous Professional Development (CPD)
The sharing of anonymous case histories is sometimes made in hypnosis group meetings for the purpose of continuing education and development and peer-support groups as part of CPD requirements. No personal details are ever used during these meetings. As a client you may be asked if you wish to be involved in that process in your next consultation, but you are not obliged to agree. If you have agreed and then decide to withdraw your consent, your decision will be respected. Your therapy will not be affected.
Standards of behaviour
During the course of any therapy, Rickie Avitan Psychic Medium will treat you with respect and not abuse the trust that you put in her. In return, you will undertake to not harm yourself. You will respect any person at the therapy practice, including her and her property. You agree to come to the sessions not under the influence of alcohol or recreational drugs, except those prescribed by your doctor. If any conduct that contravenes these standards of behaviour, she reserves the right to cancel the session and any further therapy sessions.
